The Armed Forces of Ukraine assured late Tuesday that the country’s aviation had attacked an ammunition depot and a Russian army camp in the Kherson region in the south of the country, which are controlled by Russia.
“Two of our attack aircraft attacked an ammunition depot and an enemy camp near Novopetrivka, Kherson region,” the Southern Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Facebook.
Similar Ukrainian authorities detailed that three Russian fighters they would try to interfere with aviation by launching air-to-air missiles, although without causing losses in the national ranks.
However, Russian missiles killed a peaceful woman who was near a boiler house next to a hardware store in the town of Bashtanka. The destruction of the complex could have started a fire in a field on the outskirts of the city, which, according to Ukrainian authorities, has already been extinguished.
For their part, the Russian authorities blamed the Ukrainian army for the attack on the border village of Belaya Berezka in Russia.
“Tonight, the settlement of Belaya Berezka came under artillery fire from the territory of Ukraine. About 18 mortar rounds were fired. There were no casualties among the civilian population,” Governor of the region Oleksandr Bogomaz wrote on his Telegram channel, TASS reports.
The settlement is located near the border with Ukraine and 130 km from the regional center of Bryansk.
