The Swedish State Security Service (SEPO) has detained a ship suspected of damaging a communication cable in the Baltic Sea. On Sunday, January 26, the Press Service of the Department reported.
This incident was previously qualified as a sabotage. The ship that may have been involved in the sabotage was arrested.
“The State Security Service is conducting an investigation, because it could be a serious crime directed, at least partially, against the interests of Sweden,” informed law enforcement officials.
In Sepo, they added that they are closely cooperating in this case with the Coast Guard, Armed Forces and Police Department.
Recall that on Sunday morning, an underwater fiber -fiber cable of the Latvian State Center of Radio and TV shows was damaged. The Latvian military has identified a ship that may have been involved in the damage.
