In Germany, two soldiers were imprisoned who planned to blow up the Crimean bridge. This was reported by the local edition of Stern, citing its sources.
It was noticed that the German military personally intended to blow up the bridge on the occupied peninsula, but thwarted their plans by wiretapping phone calls.
“The intention that the two men seemed to want to support Ukraine did not even go through the planning stage and suddenly ended with the arrest of the two,” the report said.
According to his sources, the case has been under investigation for several months. Several break-ins at the military barracks, where the couple obtained weapons and equipment, put German authorities on the path. Some larger organized activity is also suspected. Aside from the two arrested, ten other suspects are wanted by authorities.
According to media reports, four of them were on active duty with the German armed forces at the time of the hacking.
