Hamas terrorists released four more girls to serve in the Israeli army on January 25. They were handed over by representatives of the Red Cross.
We are talking about 20-year-old Naami Levi, Karina Ariev and Daniel Gilboa, as well as 19-year-old Lira Albag. On October 7, 2023, they were stolen from a post in Kibuk Naral-Oz. They are currently in a vehicle that is supposed to take them from the Gaza Strip to Israel.
The girls remained in captivity for 477 days.
All of them were stolen during the attack of the terrorists Tsakhal Taikhal in Kibuk Naral-Oz on October 7, 2023. It was noted that the girls’ girlfriends had already indicated that they intended to release them on January 25th.
It is clarified that Israeli officials also spoke with the families of female soldier Agam Berger-Anus from the Hamas surveillance base, and with a civilian resident of Arbel Ekud. Israel forced Hamas to release both the following weekend.
Ekud is one of the civilian hostages held by terrorists in the Gaza Strip. As a civilian, he should be in the party released on January 25th. However, it likely belongs to the Palestinian terrorist group Islamic Jihad rather than Hamas, which has apparently raised fears in Jerusalem that Hamas may try to delay its release, Israel Times writes.
Ekud is the last civilian hostage of terrorists. According to the newspaper, her exclusion from the list of those scheduled to be released is a violation of the agreement between Israel and Hamas, since it stipulates that civilian hostages must be released before women.
In exchange for the freed soldiers, Israeli authorities must release 200 Palestinian prisoners, including 121 who were given life sentences. 70 of them will be deported outside the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Some of them will be sent to Egypt, Algeria, Qatar or Turkey.
