A resident of the Kirovograd region was so frozen and exhausted that he could not even speak.
At a traffic light in the mountains, the border guards found and saved a person with fog who tried to cross the border illegally and reach Romania. This was reported by the GPSU Press Service on Friday, January 24.
“The 24-year-old resident of the Kirovograd region intended to illegally arrive in Romania. He chose the high section of the border to include his plan, however, he could not overcome the planned path,” said the military.
Searches complicated by high snow cover and poor visibility lasted more than seven hours. 10 meters before the offender’s boundary was found.
The man was so frozen and tired that he couldn’t even speak. The border guards together with the rescuers changed him into dry warm clothes, poured him hot tea and gave him to doctors who diagnosed a person with general hypothermia and dehydration. He is currently in intensive care.
