Help Kyiv does not fall under the restriction of a recent foreign assistance order, the department explained.
US president Donald Trump’s decision on a 90-day pause in the provision of international support does not apply to military assistance in Ukraine. Therefore, he will not affect the supply of the armed forces of Ukraine. It was reported by The Voice of America, told Pentagon.
“The safe assistance in Ukraine does not fall under the restriction of a recent foreign assistance order, as it only applies to development programs, not military support,” the department explained.
Contracts for making weapons for Ukraine under the USAI program, drawn by the Biden Administration, are still valid.
Trump’s command did not affect any residue and previously planned weapons from the United States under the PDA program, declared by Biden.
However, it is still unknown how the Trump president’s assistance may not affect the help of Ukraine.
As you know, Donald Trump signed Monday on January 20 his first commandments at the President’s office in the capital.
