Boris Pistorius believes that a Russian attack on Alliance members in 2029–2030 is possible if Putin reorganizes his armed forces.
The head of the German Ministry of Defense, Boris Pistorius, considered a possible Russian attack on NATO countries in 2029-2030. The official said that it is certain in this regard that up to this point it is especially important to ensure our own defense capability. This was reported by the Baltic publication Delfi.
“Military experts are closely following the events that are happening in Russia the number of troops will probably increase to 1.5 million soldiers,” suggested the head of the German department.
He noted that Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin could reorganize his armed forces in 2029-2030, which would “create appropriate conditions for a potential attack on other countries,” including members of NATO.
“Therefore, until this point, it is necessary to ensure our own defense capabilities. To solve this problem, of course, time is needed, money is needed, but we are moving towards this goal,” concluded Pistorius.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov said that Russia is preparing for a possible military conflict with NATO.
