The Ukrainian drone fleet has been replenished with a new domestic UAV.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially codified the Poseidon unmanned aerial system and authorized its use in units of the Defense Forces. The press service of the defense department reported this on January 22 on Telegram.
The Ministry of Defense noted that these aircraft have electric motors and a modern navigation system. The uniqueness of “Poseidon” is that it can carry out the task at temperatures from 20 degrees below zero to 45 degrees above zero and during strong winds. And the battery charge lasts for several hours of continuous operation.
Deputy Defense Minister Dmitry Klimenkov said that the operating altitude of these UAVs is beyond the range of many Russian air defense fire weapons.
Let us recall that in November last year, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine allowed the Ukrainian Oncilla-Shturm armored personnel carrier to be used by the troops. This armored vehicle is designed to perform a wide range of combat missions.
