In the Volyn region, a priest of the so-called “Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate” will be tried, who beat the sister of a deceased military man in the village of Voloshki.
According to the Volyn Regional Prosecutor’s Office, law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings on the grounds of a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art. 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional minor bodily injury.
The incident occurred on November 29, 2024 in Voloshki. At that time, as local publications claimed, the clergyman hit local resident Victoria, who had lost her brother in the war, in the face.

However, the situation became public in early December. The police explained that the conflict arose on an interfaith basis. Law enforcement officers were investigating two criminal proceedings.
The victim also noted that the conflict began over land surveying.
