In Turkey, a fire broke out in one of the hotels in the Kartalkaya ski resort, located in the Bolu region. At least 10 people died and dozens were injured. NTV reported this on Tuesday, January 21.

The governor of Bolu province, Abdulaliz Aydin, said the dead and injured were Turkish citizens.

The fire broke out on the fourth floor of the 11-story hotel around 3:30 in the morning. The fire started on the floor where the restaurant is located. At the time of the fire, there were 234 guests staying at the hotel. Authorities launched an investigation.

Kartalkaya ski resort, located at the top of the Koroglu Mountains, is a popular winter vacation destination. It is located approximately 40 kilometers from the city of Bolu and 270 kilometers from Istanbul.
