Two officials of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a former director of one of the private enterprises received suspicion due to multi-million dollar damage to the budget.
The suspicion was reported to the head of one of the central departments of the command of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the head of a department of this department and the ex-director of a private enterprise. In 2022, agreements were concluded between the company and the command of the Logistics Forces for the supply of spare parts for armored vehicles. The Office of the Prosecutor General announced this on January 20 on Telegram.
However, this company not only had no experience in manufacturing and supplying such spare parts, but also deliberately inflated the price of the products. Management officials did not check the proposals of other enterprises and formally negotiated with the above-mentioned enterprise and declared it the winner.
As a result, two contracts for the supply of spare parts were signed at inflated prices for a total amount of more than UAH 171 million. So far it is known that the state suffered damage of more than UAH 83 million.
Let us remind you that the State Bureau of Investigation reported suspicion to the former commander of the 155th mechanized brigade “Anna Kyiv”, who did not inform law enforcement officers about the facts of self-defense by personnel, as well as about the performance of combat missions on the eastern front.
