The DBR reported suspicion to the former commander of the 155th mechanized brigade “Anna Kyiv”. Sources in law enforcement agencies confirmed to Public that we are talking about Dmitry Ryumshin.
According to the investigation, he did not inform law enforcement officers about the facts of the SZH personnel, as well as about the performance of combat missions on the eastern front.
Earlier, journalist Yuri Butusov reported on desertion and inadequate support in this new brigade, which is fighting near Pokrovsk.
Butusov wrote that the creation of the 155th Anna Kyiv brigade is part of a large-scale government project to form 14 new brigades, for which Ukraine must find people, and international partners must find weapons. According to calculations by the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, the cost of the project for one such new brigade is estimated at about 900 million euros.
The Ground Forces Command Commission blamed brigade commander Ryumshin for the escape of 50 brigade soldiers in France, who allegedly did not spend time communicating with the personnel. A few days later he was removed from his post, several headquarters officers and one of the battalion commanders were also removed, and new commanders were appointed who had no understanding of the matter at all in the brigade.
The journalist also reports that the brigade was not provided with the necessary weapons. In particular, the brigade did not receive a single drone from the state to perform combat missions. Also, according to Butusov, electronic warfare equipment was completely absent. Volunteers helped the brigade as best they could. All 120 mm mortar mines produced by the Ministry of Strategic Industry, issued to the brigade, turned out to be defective.
At the same time, Butusov notes: the majority of the soldiers of the 155th mechanized brigade at the front try to honestly fulfill their duties, but as a result of the criminal attitude towards the lives of soldiers, the 155th brigade suffers significant losses from the first days.
