The Polish Ministry of Defense bought 250 Abrams tanks in the new version for about $4.75 billion.
Poland received from the United States the first 28 Abrams tanks in the latest version M1A2SEPv3, which were delivered to the Republic of Poland by sea. This was announced by Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh at Platform X on Sunday, January 19.

“The first tanks in the M1A2SEPv3 Abrams version are in Poland. 28 Abrams tanks, after being delivered by sea, will undergo inspection, and then they will be sent to the Polish army,” said Kosiniak-Kamysh.
The Polish Ministry of Defense bought 250 Abrams tanks in the new version for about $4.75 billion The Polish army already has 116 Abrams tanks of older models.
Note that in 2022 Poland signed an agreement with the United States on the supply of 250 modernized M1A2 Abrams tanks in 2025-2026. Warsaw later reported that an agreement had been reached with Washington to supply an additional 116 used M1A1 tanks. Polish crews have already undergone training on similar American combat vessels in the country in 2022.
Also, the Polish Ministry of Defense entered into a contract with the American corporation General Atomics Aeronautical Systems for the supply of the MQ-9B SkyGuardian reconnaissance drone.
