The Bavarian branch of the right-wing populist Alternative for Germany party has called for the expulsion of Ukrainian refugees from the country.
The Süddeutsche Zeitung quotes a statement from the head of the AfN faction in the Bavarian Landtag, Katrin Ebner-Steiner. She spoke in favor of the immediate expulsion of Ukrainian refugees, the newspaper reported.
Two program documents adopted at the AdN meeting on January 14-15 talk about “the expulsion of criminals and foreigners without residence rights,” but they don’t have a word about Ukraine. However, SZ correspondent Johann Ozel, who attended the party meeting, writes that Ebner-Steiner also spoke about the expulsion of Ukrainians.
According to the journalist, the politician said that Ukrainian refugees should immediately go home, “and already now.” The AfN representative said that Ukraine is a large country with enough territory to return to. She called for “large-scale re-emigration” to prevent Bavaria from being “flooded with welfare recipients unwilling to integrate” and advocated for a “refugee emergency” to be declared in the region to deny them accommodation.
Let us recall that Elon Musk supported right-wing figures and ideas around the world, including supporting the far-right Alternative for Germany in the upcoming early federal elections in Germany on February 23.
The American entrepreneur advertises the Alternative for Germany party, which has always opposed his plant near Berlin and generally fights against electric cars. The billionaire has also supported the British right-wing Reform UK party, and there is speculation that he may soon begin funding it.
