In the 63rd Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, battalion commander Mikhail Koval, artillery commander Vladimir Kovalsky and driver Roman Stashchuk were killed.
The commander of the 63rd brigade, Pavel Yurchuk, said that Mikhail literally reformatted the leadership of the battalion overnight.
Literally the next day, the battalion was prepared and began to carry out combat missions that they could not do before.
Vladimir Kovalsky is called an ace by his brothers. Roman Stashchuk was always with the battalion commander and remained with him until the last.
I think that this day will go down in the history of the brigade as a tragic black day. We lost three good servicemen,” the brigade commander summed up.
