Italian law enforcement officers arrested a premium yacht of one of the leaders of a criminal organization in the State Property Fund of Ukraine, its value is 5.5 million euros.
In Italy, a premium yacht worth 5.5 million euros was arrested in the case against the criminal organization of the former head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, Dmitry Sennichenko. This was reported by the SAPO press service on Friday, January 17.
“Thanks to the coordinated actions of a joint investigative team, which includes representatives of Ukraine, Austria and France, the search and seizure of assets of members of a criminal organization led by the former leader of the State Property Fund of Ukraine continues , as part of the work of this joint investigative team, Italian law enforcement officers arrested a premium yacht -class of one of the leaders of a criminal organization in State Property Fund of Ukraine, whose value is 5.5 million euros,” the statement said.
Earlier, as part of the activities of the same joint investigative group, the French side seized the property of the suspects with a total value of approximately 6.5 million euros, and the Austrian law enforcement officers seized luxury cars and important things.
We remind you that Sennichenko is suspected of leading a criminal group that, in 2019-2021, seized more than 500 million hryvnias from state-owned enterprises, including the Odessa Port Plant and the United Mining and Chemical Company. The group headed by the former head of the State Property Fund was also accused of laundering proceeds from crime worth more than 10 billion hryvnias.
NABU reported the suspicion of Sennichenko and his accomplices at the end of March 2023. It was only possible to detain him. O. HMO director and adviser to the head of the State Property Fund.
Sennichenko has served as the head of the State Property Fund since September 2019. He wrote a resignation letter of his own free will in November 2021. The Verkhovna Rada fired Sennichenko in February 2022.
