A lieutenant of the Russian FSB, who threatened with a weapon and raped two girls in the Kherson region, received a sentence in absentia – 12 years in prison. The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this on Friday, January 17.
A 24-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation, a lieutenant of the FSB, was found guilty of violating the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court sentenced him in absentia to 12 years in prison.
In April 2022, the accused entered the territory of a private home where civilians were present, including a minor victim.
Threatening with a gun, he forced the girl to leave the house, then he committed violence.
Also, the same Russian military man also visited another private house several times in April and May 2022, where another victim lived. Threatening with a weapon, under the guise of interrogation and examination of a mobile phone for cooperation with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, he took the victim out of the village. There he fired a gun at her head and, threatening to use a weapon, raped the girl.
We remind you that an evidence base was collected on three more henchmen of the Russian Federation who tortured Ukrainian prisoners of war in a temporarily occupied part of the Donbass territory.
In the past, he has independently reported on suspicions of the Russian military abusing Ukrainian prisoners during Russia’s offensive in Kharkov in 2024.
