Yuriy Ignat, speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, spoke about this on the air of the telethon on July 10.
They operate from outside the borders of Ukraine, do not enter the zone of our air defense, because they do not want to be shot down, says Yuriy Ignat.
Ignat said that the air defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is armed with far from the most modern weapons, but Ukrainian units use them as efficiently as possible.
Air defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine work during the war, provided that you need to constantly move, avoid enemy missile attacks. Accordingly, the enemy, not wanting to be shot down, is changing the tactics of using its aircraft, – said the representative of the Air Force Command.
According to the statistics of Russian losses of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy lost 217 aircraft in the sky of Ukraine on February 24.
