Anti-aircraft gunners and pilots of the unmanned systems battalion of the 63rd brigade shot down a Russian experimental reconnaissance drone “Merlin-VR”.
This was reported on the brigade’s Facebook page.
It is noted that this drone can rise into the sky 5 km and spend 10 hours there, which is several times longer than the well-known Russian drones Supercam and ZALA.
Interestingly, this Merlin was hunted by two FPV crews at once. The one who did not manage to destroy the prey filmed the explosion and the scattering of debris in the sky, the video description says.
