On the night of today, January 16 (from 20.00 on January 15), Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with a total of 55 Shahed-type attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types.
The launches were carried out from the Russian regions of Millerovo, Orel, Bryansk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the report says.
As of 09:00 today:
- the beating of 34 attack UAVs of the Shahed type and drones of other types was confirmed in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkov, Cherkassy, Chernigov, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovograd, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye and Nikolaev regions;
- several UAVs hit a farm in the Chernihiv region;
- as a result of the fall of downed enemy drones, private houses in the Kharkov and Poltava regions were damaged;
- 18 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences).
