In the Khmelnytskyi region, emergency workers rescued a teenager who had fallen through the ice.
The event occurred today, January 15, in the afternoon on the Wolf River, the press service of the State Emergency Service reports.
It is noted that a passerby heard a cry for help – a 12-year-old boy was lying on the ice, begging to be saved.
Rescuers reached the teenager by boat. Using a rope and a life preserver, they brought the child to shore and handed him over to paramedics.
The boy, returning from school, decided to go out on the ice for fishing. One leg fell into the water, scared and wet, he lay down on the ice and began to call for help, the State Emergency Service said.
In the event of an emergency, call 101 immediately. Take care of yourself and your loved ones! – the department added.
