The hospital where Gakharia was taken for examination said the car arrived around 2:30 am, and after the diagnosis, he refused to stay for further treatment. The former prime minister was diagnosed with a broken nose bone and concussion.
In addition to Gakharia, journalist Zviad Koridze reported an attack on himself in the same area. According to him, the attack happened even before the incident with Gakharia, when he was sitting in the hotel lobby with his wife.
The mentioned Sakhmaradze and the woman with him allegedly approached Koridze and started insulting him and the party. The journalist approached the security with a request to protect him and, according to him, at that time someone hurt him.
