There are several channels of communication between Washington and Moscow through military and diplomatic lines, Dmitry Peskov said.
There are some contacts at a technical level between Russia and the United States, but there is no political dialogue at a high level. Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov said this at a briefing on Tuesday, January 14.
“There are certain channels of contacts between Washington and Moscow, through military and through diplomatic lines, but these are rather contacts at a technical level highest level,” he said.
Peskov also claimed that he had no new information about possible preparations for a meeting between Vladimir Putin and US President-elect Donald Trump.
“There is nothing new that requires comment today,” said the Kremlin spokesman, commenting on a statement from Trump’s entourage about his intention to meet with Putin “as soon as possible.”
We remind you that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is preparing for contacts between President Vladimir Zelensky and Trump. They will take place after the inauguration of the new American leader.
