A Russian agent was preparing a UAV attack on Kyiv on January 1.
Military counterintelligence of the SBU detained a Russian military intelligence agent in the capital. This woman was preparing coordinates for a Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian capital on New Year’s Day. The priority targets of the aggressor were administrative buildings of state institutions and energy generating enterprises of Ukraine. The Security Service of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
To program enemy kamikaze drones to destroy Ukrainian targets, the agent turned on GPS coordinates on her phone and took photos of the targets so that their exact geolocation was included in the file properties. She sent the photographs to the Russian curator.
The attacker was detained in a rented apartment in Kyiv. The enemy agent turned out to be a 27-year-old local unemployed woman.
The detainee was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 114-2 (unauthorized dissemination of information about the deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Let us recall that Russian agents were planning a massive terrorist attack among the military in the Kyiv region. Four Russian agents were preparing to detonate explosives at the entrance to the building where one of the units of the Defense Forces was stationed.
