A massive attack by Russian drones was repelled by the Ukrainian military at night.
On the night of January 13, the enemy attacked with 110 attack UAVs of the Shahed type and simulator drones of various types in the directions of Millerovo, Orel, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk of Russia. Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups were involved in repelling the attack. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
The defenders were able to shoot down 78 drones in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkov, Cherkassy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Zaporozhye, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky and Donetsk regions. Another 31 enemy drones were locally lost.
The wreckage of downed UAVs in the Sumy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr and Zaporozhye regions recorded damage to enterprise buildings, private and government institutions, private homes and vehicles.
The police showed the consequences of the “Shahed” attack in the Kyiv region. Law enforcement officers reported that as a result of falling debris in the Kyiv region, four private houses, a fence, a dormitory, a hospital premises and four vehicles, including an ambulance, were damaged.
Let us remind you that on January 12, Russian Shahed-type UAVs attacked a children’s health center and the housing sector in Sumy. Fires broke out and were extinguished by firefighters.
