The disinformation spread by Russian propagandists aims to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian propaganda is spreading a fake video from the alleged United24 Media platform that eight mansions owned by high-ranking Ukrainian military personnel were destroyed during the California fire. CPD reported this on Sunday, January 12.

The video states that these houses were allegedly purchased by “members of Zaluzhny’s team” between April 2022 and February 2024.

“After verifying the information on United24 Media, the Center reports that the platform did not create or distribute this video material,” the message said.

And they added that the purpose of this lie was to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, the Center for Countering Disinformation debunked another Russian fake about Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky buying a villa on the “Island of Billionaires.”

The Russians also launched massive fake poisoned water for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces rejected this Russian invention.
