Ukrainian soldiers captured military men from North Korea in the Kursk region.
Two North Korean soldiers were wounded in the fighting but were able to survive. The occupants were taken to Kyiv, where they communicate with investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on January 11 in Telegram.
This task was not easy: usually the Russians and other North Korean soldiers finish off their wounded and do everything to ensure that no evidence remains of the participation of another state – North Korea – in the war against Ukraine, the head of state noted.
The head of state thanked the Ukrainian fighters of tactical group No. 84 of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the paratroopers who captured these two people. The prisoners are provided with the necessary medical care.
Let us recall that the Main Intelligence Directorate reported that lower-level Russian commanders are lying in reports to the high command regarding real losses among North Korean fighters. The morale of North Korean soldiers has fallen, although they are constantly being convinced that the North Korean army is “of great importance” in the war against Ukraine.
