German politicians see the billionaire and would-be Trump adviser’s attacks on the Social Democrats and praise of the far right as an attempt to escalate the situation in the country ahead of the February election. The police arrested more than 1.2 thousand participants in those riots, more than 200 of them received prison sentences.
In December, having already received a place in the presidential administration from newly elected Donald Trump, Musk began to approach the British center-right party Reform UK (formerly the Brexit Party), known for its dislike of migrants, traditional parties ( Labor and Conservatives), the European Union and “cancel culture.”

The Financial Times (FT) newspaper reported on January 9, citing its sources, that Musk wants to destabilize the Labor government and force Starmer to resign before the 2029 election. According to the publication, the businessman intends to do this with the help of Reform UK and other political movements. “He believes that Western civilization is under threat,” said one of the FT’s interlocutors about Musk.
