The East Dagomys River overflowed its banks due to heavy rains and flooded the courtyards of multi-storey residential buildings and the entrances of one of the city’s districts. Sirens sounded all over the city. Witnesses reported that on the Batumi highway, the flow of water was carrying cars directly into the sea.
As reported, in the village of Dagomys, 86 mm of rain fell in one hour.
“Cars were under water, the first floors of buildings were flooded on several streets,” Russian media wrote.
As the public clarified, local residents “woke up all night, worried about their property.” Citizens are also trying to rescue vehicles parked in the yards. No casualties have been reported.
We will recall, earlier it was reported that lightning struck the Moscow church of the Iberian Icon of the Mother of God in Vspolya on Bolshaya Ordynka. White smoke came out from under the dome.
