The Ukrainian military repelled a massive assault by the Russian army in the Kursk region of Russia.
During the attack, the enemy deployed a huge amount of equipment and personnel. The first in their columns were tanks with trawls to clear the passages. The attacks were carried out in six waves. The Russians also threw tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers and even buggies into the assault. In total, about 50 units of equipment took part in the enemy attack. The 47th Magura Brigade reported this on January 9 on Telegram.
Not only Magur’s fighters, but also related units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the attack. During the battle, Russian equipment worth millions of dollars was destroyed – tanks, BMP-2, BMD, armored personnel carriers, bugs and Lancet.
The combat losses of the Russians in personnel amounted to virtually a company: 45 occupiers were destroyed, and 53 were wounded.
Let us recall that in December last year, servicemen of the 36th Marine Brigade and the 1st Tank Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces defeated two Russian columns of armored vehicles in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
