Belarus will hold a military meeting with the participation of territorial troops.
Military exercises will take place near the border with Ukraine. From January 8 to January 31, under the leadership of the chairman of the Gomel District Executive Committee, a training camp with territorial troops liable for military service starts. The Ministry of Defense reported this on Telegram.
During the exercises, the reception of territorial troops liable for military service and their comprehensive support will take place with the involvement of the local mobilization deployment base. It is also planned to restore the skills of the command staff of the territorial troops in managing subordinates.
The military will also be trained to carry out tasks, in particular, together with the engineering units of the Army of the Republic of Belarus.
Let us remind you that the day before it became known that Belarus had increased its military presence near the border with Ukraine. Units of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus were transferred to the Stolin, Lelchitsky, Mozyr and Gomel regions.
Also at the end of December 2024, an Il-76 military transport aircraft of the Russian Military Space Forces flew from Russia to Belarus.
