US President-elect Donald Trump’s special representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, has postponed a fact-finding trip to Kyiv and other European capitals in time for Trump’s January 20 inauguration.

This was said on Tuesday, January 7, by the adviser to the head of the OPU, Mikhail Podolyak, in an interview with the We-Ukraine channel, commenting on the postponement of the visit to Ukraine by Trump’s special representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg.
“This is a positive sign that the Trump transition administration already has a deep understanding of the nature of this war, a deep understanding of the motives of the Russian Federation it will respond adequately. We must look for tool for significant influence in the Russian Federation.
According to Mikhail Podolyak, Keith Kellogg’s decision to postpone his visit to Ukraine indicates that “the transition administration wants to show more clearly what kind of war this is.”
It is known that Kellogg is planning a visit to Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian leaders in early January. His team also organized meetings with officials in other European capitals, including Rome and Paris. But this trip, which was supposed to be the first visit to Kyiv by new officials from the Trump administration, was postponed.
Kellogg is expected to visit Ukraine after Trump’s inauguration, although the date of the visit has not been determined.
