Ukrainian intelligence intercepted a conversation between a Russian officer and his subordinates.
In an intercepted conversation between the occupiers, the commander of a unit from the 60th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 5th Army of the Russian Armed Forces orders the execution of a Ukrainian prisoner of war. The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced this on Facebook on January 6.
One of the Russian invaders reports to the commander about the next task and the capture of a Ukrainian military man. The Russian officer in response notes: “Chat with this ‘dill’ personally and ‘reset’ him.”
The GUR emphasized that this is further evidence of a systemic violation of international humanitarian law by the occupying army.
While waging a criminal war, the Russian army does not hesitate to resort to the most vile and base crimes, intelligence officials said.
Let us remind you that in the Volnovakha district of the Donetsk region, Russian invaders shot four prisoners of war of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Law enforcement officers began a pre-trial investigation into the commission of a war crime that resulted in the death of people (Part 2 of Article 438) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
