Amazon is preparing a documentary about the life of Melania Trump – an unprecedented look at the former first lady of the United States that will reveal her story from a new angle.
Melania Trump, the wife of newly elected US President Donald Trump, has become the main character of a new Amazon documentary.
This film promises to be a unique behind-the-scenes look at the life of a woman who twice held the title of First Lady.
According to Variety, the documentary will be released in the second half of 2025 simultaneously in theaters and on the streaming platform Prime Video. The project will be directed by Brett Ratner, known for hit films such as Rush Hour, X-Men: The Last Stand And Hercules.
Filming began in December 2024, shortly after Donald Trump won the presidential election. Melania herself is actively involved in the project – she acts as an executive producer. The film includes exclusive materials, including footage of the upcoming inauguration.
However, the project was not without controversy. Director Brett Ratner has previously been accused of sexual assault: in 2017, six women made accusations against him, which led to the termination of his contract with the Warner Bros. studio. Since then, Ratner has not directed, although he has remained active as a producer.
This film can be a return to the big cinema for Ratner, and for the audience is a unique opportunity to see how Melania Trump discovers new areas of her life, balancing between family responsibilities, public life and his own mission.
It was previously reported that Boris Johnson, former British Prime Minister, appeared in the Ukrainian film Train on 31st December.
