Espresso in Ukraine has risen in price again: on average, in 2024 you had to pay 31 UAH for a cup of coffee. This is 11% more expensive than in 2023. In total, espresso in Ukraine has risen in price by 1.7 times since the beginning of the full-scale war.
So, in 2021, an average of 19 UAH was given per serving. The most expensive cup of coffee was in the Odessa region, and the cheapest in the Khmelnitsky and Sumy regions, such data was shared on January 6 in Opendatabot.
The average price of a cup of espresso in Ukraine in 2024 reached 31 hryvnia. This is 11% more expensive than in 2023 – 28 UAH. 2024.
As of the end of December, the most expensive coffee in Ukraine, as in 2023, is drunk in the Odessa region: 40 hryvnia per cup. In just one year, prices in the region increased by 20%. Lviv region follows – here a cup of espresso will cost 39 UAH. The third place was taken by the Volyn region, where a serving of espresso costs 37 hryvnia.
The cheapest coffee has been available for two years now in the Khmelnytskyi region and Sumy region: 28 hryvnia per cup.
The price increased the most over the year – by 29% – in the Vinnytsia region: up to 31 UAH per cup. Only in the Kharkov region the cost of a serving of espresso remained unchanged – 34 UAH.
Espresso is the main component of every coffee drink, so its cost directly affects the price of any drink in a cafe.

It can be useful for comparing price levels and cost of living in different places. Such an indicator helps to assess how large the difference in prices for the same goods and services is in different countries, reflecting purchasing power and the level of inflation.
