In Turkey, a man was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison for sexually abusing minors.
As part of international legal cooperation, the prosecutor’s office of Ukraine ensured the extradition to the Republic of Turkey of a citizen who was on the international wanted list for the purpose of further serving his sentence. The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Monday, January 6.
In Turkey, a man was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison for sexually advancing minors. However, the foreigner is hiding from serving his sentence in Ukraine in the Kyiv region.
Ukrainian law enforcement officials searched for him and detained him. At the request of the prosecutors of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the man was selected as a preventive measure in the form of extradition arrest.
Currently, the convicted has actually been transferred to the competent authorities of the Turkish Republic to serve his sentence.
