The register of people who have not received a Russian passport began operating on January 5 in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Officially, the register supposedly includes foreigners and stateless people who are illegally in the territory of the aggressor country and are subject to deportation. However, in fact, the lists are replenished with Ukrainians who do not have a Russian passport under occupation. The Center for National Resistance reported this.
If included in the register, Ukrainians must either leave the temporarily occupied territories or obtain a legal basis for residence. Also, such people will be prohibited from using banks, registering real estate, driving transport and getting married during the occupation.
That is, we have another element of coercion in order to legally secure for Ukrainians the status of citizens of the empire,” noted the Center of National Resistance.
Let us recall that throughout 2014, the party of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, United Russia, distributed more than 10 thousand Russian passports to residents of the occupied areas of Donbass. The occupiers focused their attention primarily on pensioners and people with disabilities.
