A state of emergency was introduced in occupied Sevastopol.
The reason for such actions by the occupation authorities was an accident with tankers in the Kerch Strait, which resulted in pollution. The regional regime was announced today, January 4. The occupation governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, informed about this on social networks.
I personally head the operational headquarters for the situation; today a state of emergency of regional significance has been declared in Sevastopol,” he noted.
According to a representative of the dictatorship, a survey of the Black Sea coast is currently underway to detect traces of fuel oil that entered the sea due to the accident.
Let us remind you that on December 15, a fuel oil spill occurred in the Kerch Strait due to the accident of two Russian tankers. Two Russian tankers “Volgoneft-212” and “Volgoneft-239” crashed when the wave height reached 2 m.
Both vessels were carrying a low-quality petroleum product known as fuel oil. As a result, more than 4 thousand 300 tons of heavy fuel oil spilled into the Black Sea. Oil products polluted about 55 km of coastline.
Subsequently, 10 dead Azov dolphins were found on the Black Sea coast, which in Ukraine are listed in the Red Book, and in the world they have the status of animals in a dangerous situation.
