The Department of Defense is launching a digital ranking of commanders’ combat effectiveness.
The fact that the government supported the resolution, thanks to which commanders will submit reports on the defeat of the enemy to Army+, was reported on Facebook by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Ekaterina Chernorenko.
According to her, this can be done very simply, in a few minutes. And most importantly – no paperwork. A confirmation from the DELTA combat system can be attached to such a report. Then all the data will go to the General Staff.
This way we will create a large single dashboard of enemy destruction. Which will help analyze the performance of units and troops as a whole,” Chernogorenko wrote.
The reports will help evaluate not only the effectiveness of the military, but also equipment and ammunition. And also to better understand what weapons and where should be produced and supplied first.
This is a revolution and an impetus for big changes in the army, when decisions will be made according to the data-driven principle, and not from the head, the official explained.
Data-driven management is based on the principle “collect all the data, pay attention only to what is important.”
Dmitry Kucher, co-founder of the IT company R2N, wrote about this in a column for EP.
Not all information is strategically useful and decisions should be made based only on important metrics.
