Soldiers from the Ministry of Defense’s Main Intelligence Directorate destroyed nine rolling stock units on Russian territory in December. GUR reports this on its Telegram channel.
“In December 2024, on the territory of the aggressor state of Russia, as a result of fires, nine units of railway rolling stock, which were used by the enemy mainly for transporting weapons and ammunition, were destroyed,” the statement said.
In particular, the following were destroyed:

in the Moscow region – 1 diesel locomotive 1TE116 and 2 electric trains EP2D;

in the Ryazan region – 2 electric locomotives VL-80;

in the Tyumen region – 1 locomotive SM-2 and 1 motor carriage AGS-1Sh;

in the Rostov region – 1 electric locomotive VL-80;

in the Sverdlovsk region – 1 diesel locomotive UTM-2M.
