The new train could be the fastest high-speed train in the world after its commercial launch.
China has unveiled a prototype of its next-generation high-speed train, which is supposed to be the fastest in the world. In particular, the train reaches a speed of 450 kilometers per hour. CNN reports this in connection with the Chinese Ministry of Transport.
Once in commercial service, it could become the world’s fastest high-speed train, surpassing China’s current CR400 model, which debuted in 2017 and runs at 350 kilometers per hour.
According to the state-run China Daily, the carriage underwent more than 3,000 simulations and more than 2,000 platform tests to meet the strict requirements of commercial operations.
More testing and refinement is needed, according to China State Railway Group officials.
According to China’s Ministry of Transportation, the country’s rail network covers more than 160,000 kilometers, including more than 46,000 kilometers of high-speed rail lines.
It was earlier reported that China has taken to the air a sixth-generation fighter. In particular, a new unknown aircraft was seen there, which in appearance could belong to the sixth generation fighters.
