About 50 thousand Lviv residents are currently at war.
The mayor of the city, Andrei Sadovy, spoke about this in an interview with Public.
My friends, 50 thousand Lviv residents are at war today. Many of our veterans come to Lviv to meet their families from other cities.
According to Sadovoy, the city is working to maximize accessibility for people with disabilities. In particular, ramps are being installed in Lviv, and “accessibility paths” have been built with extra-budgetary funds. The mayor called on private businesses to reconsider their space for inclusivity.
Sadovyi noted that the city authorities receive many requests every day from Lviv brigades for help, and in order to close them, the city opened the “Squires” collection together with the “Come Back Alive” fund. The goal of collecting 200 million UAH, currently we managed to collect 45.4 million.
As a city, we can buy cars, we can buy drones, electronic warfare systems and whatever is needed – generators, various things, and, for example, the “Come Back Alive” fund can buy mortars, heavy weapons,” said Sadovy. “If we raise funds together with them, it’s a completely different force.”
First of all, this is the support of our brigades: the 80th airborne brigade, this is the 24th, these are our territorial defense brigades.
