What happens to IZ*ONE’s Jo Yuri’s character in ‘Round 6’?

Last week, the second season of the renowned series “Round 6” arrived on the Netflix streaming platform, a production starring Lee Jung Jae that presents the story of a dangerous competition, where people with huge debts fight for their lives in search of money.

The new episodes will follow Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung Jae), the big winner of the first season, returning to the games, but this time, with a different intention. After witnessing countless deaths in his first participation, now the man seeks revenge, and will try to end the bloodthirsty dispute once and for all.

In addition to the return of Jung Jae Like the protagonist, the production also features the arrival of a series of new characters. Among them is Kim Junhee, a character played by Jo Yuriactress and K-pop idol who, in addition to being a soloist, was also part of the girl group IZ*ONE, formed in 2018 during the survival program “Produce 48”.

In the story, Junhee is a strong and determined young girl who is pregnant and, after losing a lot of money after following reckless investment advice, decides to participate in the games to regain her financial stability and be able to raise her child.

But what happens to Jo Yuri’s character?

Right at the beginning of the plot, we discover that Junhee is no longer with the child’s father, and that the two are not in contact. Upon arriving at the games, she tries to keep her pregnancy a secret, but her belly soon ends up being noticed by some other competitors.

Throughout the dispute, she discovers that her ex-boyfriend, Lee Myeong Gi (Yim Si-Wan), is also in the competition after accumulating a huge debt as his cryptocurrency investment schemes failed.

When the two meet, it is also revealed that Myeong Gi did not know that his former lover was pregnant, as, at the beginning of the pregnancy, the two had agreed to abort the child — a decision that was discarded by the girl, who chose to raise the child. alone.

Despite trying to get closer to Junhee, the young woman prefers to keep her distance from her ex-boyfriend, and makes an alliance in the fourth episode with Gi-hun (Lee Jung Jae), Dae Ho (Kang Ha-Neul), Jeong Bae (Lee Seo Hwan) and Hwang In-Ho (Lee Byung-hun), in addition to, in the future, also getting closer to Hyun Ju (Park Sung Hoon), Jang Geum Ja (Kang Ae-Sim) and Park Yong Sik (Yang Dong-Geun).

During the “Socialize” game, where competitors needed to form groups with a random number announced by the organizers, Myeong Gi saves Junghee’s life by pulling her towards a door during the last round, preventing her and the child from being dead.

When they return to the place where the beds are, the man still tries to talk to the girl, offering that, when they are finally released from the competition, they can renew their relationship and combine the values ​​of their prizes, in order to increase their income and create their own son together.

Junhee, however, ends up realizing that, in fact, Myeong Gi just wanted more money to continue making reckless investments, and denies his ex-boyfriend’s proposal.

After the conversation between the two, a new vote takes place to decide on the continuation of the games, which ends up in a tie, causing it to be postponed until the next day, so that the players have the chance to rethink their decisions.

When they go to the bathroom, a huge mess ensues in the place after Thanos (TOP) threaten Min-su (Lee David), who is protected by Myeong Gi and other men who had supported the idea of ​​ending the dispute, resulting in a series of deaths — including that of Thanos, killed by Myeong Gi.

Myeong Gi, who almost lost his life, returns to the bed area under the worried eyes of Junhee, who goes to meet him and asks him to take cover when the lights go out. After a new confusion, the organizers arrive on the scene to calm the situation, but are surprised when Gi hun and his allies steal their weapons to start a rebellion.

After finishing off the masked men in red overalls, the group looks for more volunteers to invade the control center and capture the leader to destroy the games. Myeong Gi, however, does not volunteer after a silent request from Junhee.

The series ends with Gi Hun’s plan going down the drain after he is betrayed by In-Ho, who returns to his position as leader and prevents the invasion, causing his soldiers to invade the bed area, surrendering the players who remained there. . Now, Junhee’s fate will only be revealed in the third season, scheduled to premiere in 2025.
