The arrested journalist is 29 years old and a native of Rome. He is a correspondent for the daily Italian newspaper Il Foglio and also has his own podcast.
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Sala was in good condition. He assured that Italy is working on the return of the journalist, stressing that maximum precautions are required in this regard.
In turn, Italy’s Madam Ambassador Paola Amadei conducted a consular visit to investigate the conditions and conditions of the journalist’s detention. The media woman’s family was informed of the outcome of the visit.
According to Euronews, Sala published a podcast episode with Iranian comedian Zeinab Mousavi, who criticized the mandatory wearing of the hijab during performances.
