Turkey will search for oil in the Black Sea

“We are working intensively to conduct new drilling for exploration purposes. In particular, we have discovered an area in the Chaeli region of Rize province, which is constantly being talked about as an oil field. We want to conduct a drilling work there,” said Alparslan Bayraktar.

He noted that Turkey is also increasing gas production in the Black Sea. Production from the Sakarya gas field in the Black Sea has reached 7 million cubic meters to date. m and must exceed 9 million cubic meters. m in the first quarter of 2025.

There are plans to increase production to 9.5-10 million cubic meters, and then to 20 million cubic meters.

In addition, Turkey has proposals for exploration work in the Black Sea and the Bulgarian coast.
