The progress of work on the construction of fortifications in the Zaporozhye region is 100%. Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal announced this on Telegram on Friday, December 27.
“In every front-line region, one of our main priorities is the construction of fortifications. This year the government allocated UAH 1.9 billion to Zaporozhye for these needs.
According to Shmygal, 358 military fortifications were prepared, and hundreds of kilometers of defensive lines were built.
The head of the government also said that in 2024, almost 4.5 billion UAH were allocated to the Zaporozhye region for restoration and priority needs.
Let’s recall that at the beginning of December, the head of the Zaporozhye Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, said that the construction of modern fortresses continues in the region. The local authorities, together with the General Staff, developed a new defense system for the region.
And on December 17, Shmygal announced the completion of the construction of the third line of fortifications in most of the front-line regions.
