Russian manufacturers of the Oreshnik medium-range missile use equipment from Western companies.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that on November 21, the Russian Federation attacked the Dnieper with an Oreshnik missile. The ballistic missile launched was “nuclear-free hypersonic” and not with a nuclear warhead. US Department of Defense spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said at a briefing that Oreshnik was created based on the Russian model of the RS-26 Rubezh intercontinental ballistic missile. The Financial Times writes about this.
It is noted that the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering and the Sozvezdie concern, which the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine considers the developers of Oreshnik, recruited employees who knew the equipment of the Japanese Fanuc and the German Siemens and Heidenhain.
This institute has indicated in current advertisements that it uses metalworking systems from Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain. All three companies create control systems for numerically controlled machine tools. They were also indicated in the advertisements of the Constellation concern.
FT also writes that the federal research and production center Titan-Barricades is also involved in the production of Oreshnik.
Let us recall that, according to Defense Express, the result of a study of the fragments of the Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile did not confirm the Kremlin’s statements that this is the latest development. On one of the parts of the Oreshnik there is a number and production date – April 12, 2017.
