A Russian henchman who “surrendered” Ukrainian patriots at Russian checkpoints during the battle for Nikolaev received 11 years in prison.
This 25-year-old resident of the Nikolaev region, after the capture of the Snigirevsky district, supported the invaders and voluntarily agreed to be on duty at Russian checkpoints.
There he received automatic weapons and tasks from the enemy: to identify Ukrainian patriots who were trying to take their families to territory free from the occupiers.
Threatening with a weapon, he forced the driver and passengers to get out of the car, under the guise of a “check” he took away all documents, mobile phones, money, etc. from people, and this property was immediately confiscated from most of the victims.
During the liberation of the regional center by the Defense Forces, the occupiers abandoned their henchman on the territory of the community when they fled to the left bank of the Kherson region.
To avoid punishment, he constantly changed his temporary residence addresses. But SBU officers located him and detained him in a rented apartment.
