Dozens of Russian drones attacked Ukraine on the night of December 26.
The aggressor country launched the 31st Shahed attack UAV and other types of drones from the Orel and Millerovo areas. The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
As of 8.30 today, 20 Shaheeds and other types of UAVs were confirmed to have been killed. Air defense operated in the Kharkov, Kyiv, Chernigov and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
In addition, due to active countermeasures from electronic warfare systems, 11 enemy simulator drones were locally lost without negative consequences.
Let us recall that on the first day of Christmas, the Russian Federation used 184 missiles of various types of air, ground and sea-based, as well as Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of simulator drones, to attack Ukraine. Air defense was able to destroy 113 air targets, and 52 non-drones were lost.
