Russia fired more than 70 missiles into Ukraine – hitting thermal and power plants

Russian troops attacked Ukrainian energy facilities in Kharkov, Kyiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zaporozhye. In total, about 3,000 homes were left without heat.

Also, a blackout was introduced in Ukraine due to a massive missile attack by the Russian Federation. Ukrenergo said emergency restoration work has begun at all facilities where the security situation allows. Ukrainians have been urged to consume electricity sparingly.

A passenger plane flying from Azerbaijan to Grozny, Russia, crashed in the Kazakh city of Aktau.
